Fill-In Fridays

Today I did something from my 26 before 26 list, which I'm still working on. I woke up at 6:30 and went for a run around Ludlow. Alternating between jogging and walking, the burning in my lungs led to reminiscing about soccer practice in the Georgia winters. I've never been in amazing shape, but it feels good to take that baby step toward it. I'm happy to report that the Sauconys I bought at Marshall's a couple weeks ago are comfortable and my shins are doing well!

This morning was the first I recognized the winter ahead. The bathroom tiles were chilly beneath bare feet, my post-shower routine was shortened and rushed. I had to blow my hair dry rather than wandering around letting it air dry. Today it's sunny and chilly out, and I'm excited to wear a sweater for the first of the season.

Working from Mike's home and getting excited for the weekend. I loved Fill-In Fridays last week, so I thought I'd give it another shot this week. Play along at the little things we do

1. You should always take time to relax with the ones you love.

2. The changing seasons make the world a happier place to be.

3. I can hardly wait for my upcoming travels!

4. Any day I get to play board games is my favorite day of the week.

5. Something totally dumb and ridiculous that I love is playing Left4Dead.

6. If I could, I would open a bakery tomorrow.

7. I rather like the scent of fresh bread.

Oh, wait, I'm turning 25!

Today there is more of the Internet saga drama, but I won't bore you with that because I have forwarded my calls to my roommate and I am trusting that she will deal with it. If she doesn't, I will deal with it next week. (Update: Since I typed this paragraph, I have learned that Comcast can't hook up a cable, our building manager is not one of my favorite people, and I have submitted an order to Verizon. I have also cried, but what else is new?) Moving on...

For now, I'm listening to the Wild and Wily Ways of a Brunette Bombshell (seriously, one of the best blogs) September playlist. It's great, and the perfect addition to a sunny day working from home, sipping an iced coffee and digesting a pumpkin donut. (I woke up to said Internet drama and while I dealt with it, Mike went out to get us breakfast and coffee. I was smiling while on hold with Comcast, which never happens. He's a miracle-worker.)

Today I am still working on my 26 by 26 list (haha Cyndi so graciously pointed out that I was making a 25 before 25 list with merely a month before I turned 25...), working from home, and getting ready for my very first Festa. I have yet to shower or brush my teeth and it's almost lunchtime.

I saw this fill-in Friday and thought I'd join in:
One thing that is completely superfluous, but that I could never give up is reading blogs.

Getting bad customer service makes me feel awkward.

I can't go a day without listening to music and singing along.

Homemade hummus and carrots are my current favorite snack.

Lately I've been applying to new jobs and daydreaming about my future.

If at first you don't succeed then you are human. Keep at it.

Fall is like home to me.

Link up here if you'd like to join in on the fill in fun!

Happy weekend.
